auditioning is an artform.

It’s so much more than being a character on a page. It’s being you; your unadulterated and authentic self, who channels that character through your own personal voice and experience.  Think about the hundreds of people vying for a role.  The one huge advantage that you have going into the audition is your you-ness. No one else has that and no one can duplicate it. That’s what will get you truly seen and ultimately what will get you the role.  And that’s where I come in.

I’m Natasha Goss, actress and acting coach.

My philosophy is simple: when auditioning, bring yourself to the role. I’m here to help you do just that and have some fun along the way. There is something magical that happens when you connect yourself to a role and it starts to feel organic and truthful. It’s the moment when the audition stops feeling like work and you start to breathe life into the character, living and breathing in their circumstances.

But before we get there, let’s all agree with one universal truth…

auditions make us nervous.

We all pray for that one audition that’s going to move our career forward, but somehow when it comes, the nerves kick in, the self- doubt gets loud, and the audition email can feel disconnected from the job itself.  Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vet working towards your next role, it’s all part of the process.  Working together, we’ll get you out of your head, connected to the material and find the fun in the experience. Because this career isn’t just about the end goals, it’s about the journey.

And I’m excited to go on it with you.

HOW IT WORKS

Once you are ready to work, you will email me your sides and character breakdown. We will then set up a time to connect over Zoom or FaceTime. We will work on the audition together to get you ready to either go in or self tape. Sessions can also include filming the audition with me as your virtual reader, but this will often add time to your session.

about me

I never wanted to be an astronaut or a ballerina when I grew up.

From the age of 3, I wanted to be an actor and a mother. Well, I’m happy to report that I am now both. I am married with an incredible 10-year-old son and…
I am very much an ACTOR.

I grew up all over the world – South Africa, Australia, and the US—finally landing in Los Angeles. I studied Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong in Australia, later graduating from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

After college, I studied under renowned teacher Susan Batson in NYC and later taught at her school Black Nexxus in LA.

Once in LA, I studied with many teachers, but finally found my true artistic home with master teacher Steve Braun at BGB Studios.

My career spans a wide array of projects, from popular TV shows like Lost and Modern Family, to a mix of independent and studio films, most recently appearing in SAW X. I also co-created and starred in two web series that are currently streaming, and I’m currently producing and starring in a new film for Back Up Plan Productions.

I absolutely LOVE the work; diving deep into the human experience and seeing things through the eyes of a character. That’s where the magic happens.
